About this space
This updated upstairs apartment is the top half of a quiet riverside duplex in Fremont, Ohio — directly across from Memory Marina and steps from the Sandusky River. It is a bright, easy base for a summer on the water: fishing the western basin, hopping the ferry to the islands, or heading to Cedar Point for the day.
The open layout has a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, a coffee station, and everything you need to cook. A king bedroom sits at one end; the living room has a queen pullout sofa, so the apartment sleeps four. There are two Roku smart TVs — one in the bedroom, one in the living area — an in-unit washer and dryer, and a full bathroom with a glass walk-in shower.
Outside, a shared fire pit, grill, and seating area look out toward the river — the best seat in the house on a summer evening. The outdoor space is shared with the downstairs unit. There's plenty of parking for cars, boats, and trailers, and a boat slip is available if you want to launch and explore the Sandusky River. Access to the apartment is up a set of exterior stairs.

The apartment is on the upper floor, reached by a set of exterior stairs exposed to the weather. Please plan for that in wet or cold conditions, and if anyone in your group has trouble with stairs, the downstairs unit may suit you better.
Shared outdoor space
The fire pit, grill, and seating area are shared with the downstairs unit (and, in season, with campground and marina guests nearby). The apartment itself is entirely private.
A summer weekend bonus
Jimmy Bukkett’s, a riverfront bar with a Key-West-on-the-Sandusky vibe and live music, is right across the street on summer weekends (Friday–Sunday, Memorial Day through Labor Day). A fun bonus if you're in the mood, easy to ignore if you're not.
On the water
This is a rural setting on public water. Harmless seasonal mayflies are common near the river in the warmer months, and there is open river access nearby — worth keeping in mind with children.

Perfect place for our needs. We brought an 18 foot boat and there was plenty of space to park it and plug it in to charge my batteries. We enjoyed the stay. It's a bit of a drive to the boat ramps we used. But the price was right and there is a boat ramp on the Sandusky river just across the road if we wanted to go out on the river. Jimmy Bukkett's is located there as well and we enjoyed the food, drinks and music Friday night.

You're right on the Sandusky River, directly across from Memory Marina — a gateway to some of Lake Erie's best summer boating and fishing. On summer weekends, Jimmy Bukkett’s riverfront bar is a lively spot just across the street; downtown Fremont's shops and dining are about ten minutes away.
A car is the way to get around out here. Launch your own boat from the available slip and explore the Sandusky River, or drive to the day-trip spots: Cedar Point about 35 minutes, the Miller and Jet Express ferries to the Lake Erie islands around 40, and Port Clinton fishing charters about 40.
